Back to School

At the end of the summer holidays we always have to go back to school. This year Liam started too so now there are three of us at Brandlehow.

Mila misses us when we go to school but we are always with her when we get home.

Zara Daisy is in year 1 this year.

Paralympics London 2012

We had such a fabulous summer holidays watching the olympics and paralympics so were very excited when mum and dad got us tickets to see the seven-a-side football at Olympic Park. It was an awesome experience and we all had an amazing day out that we will never forget.

Dad and Liam in front of Olympic Stadium. It is a HUGE park and there was lots of walking but there was so much to look at and everyone was in a super happy mood - especially the games makers!

In our seats waiting for the game - GB v Ukraine

Go team GB

Mila and Aunty Erin with Mandeville

Zara and I with the real life mascot Wenlock - he was very cuddly!

We only had one queue the whole day and it wasn't very long, so Liam remained with a smile on his face ALL day!

Flip Flop Pool Party

Little Zara Daisy has turned six and to celebrate she threw a Flip Flop Pool Party for her friends. Based on a tropical party, lots of bright colours and swimming.

Hanging with Uncle Sean before the party started

Then when everyone arrived the first thing everyone did was jump straight in the pool

Then when we had dried off we made some bracelets and other flip flop decorations

And then things really warmed up with some hola tunes

Finally some nourishments in the way of vodka (opps I mean) tropical Jellies!

 Cake Time

Happy birthday dear Zara, happy birthday to you x

Wales

This year we had our summer holiday in "sunny" although a bit cooler than we are used to and quite a bit of rain - Wales! Even though the weather wasn't quite up to scratch we still had a fun filled action packed holiday. Our first adventure was a walk with the dinosaurs at 'Dinosaur Farm'

The bush actually reminded us all of the Catlins, very much like being back in NZ, it even smelt the same. Haven't seen too many dinosaurs or "old fellas" in the Catlins though.

Then the fun began, Zara drove me on the bumper boats.
While Liam spun daddy in a evil circle of dizziness
Then I got my own back on Zara and took her for a circuit in an off roader - I decided to take the off roading term literally and spent alot of the course over the edge....

Zara was frazzled by the time I'd finished the lap but mum was in hysterics

Then we all had a go at the bubble balls, they seriously are much harder than they look
But that didn't stop Zara, she was a hamster in those balls and just kept spinning around

The tube slide was another fantastic source of entertainment
 For everyone

Then after a day with the dinosaurs we hit Saundersfoot beach for a spot of tennis and paddling

More reminders of NZ - even the south otago weather

More fun rides the next day - Dad taking his driving job very seriously much to the detriment of the fella he drove off the road.

Then a family trip on the ferris wheel for a fabulous view of Tenby (south wales)

No family holiday is complete with out some cute pics of our baby sister, Mila was a champion and loved the holiday, she was smiling the whole time.

Back to the beach, this time South Beach in Tenby

Dad dug us in to the sand, it started at our knees but that didn't contain us for very long....
so he dug us in right up to our waists.... that took a good 10 minutes to get me out, but I needed some help from Zara & Liam - which meant they had to be freed first, a good exercise in team building!

A stroll along south beach back to the town... stunning and very picturesque!

And finally our last night in Tenby, Liam looking after Mila at the restaurant

Thanks Wales for another memorable family holiday x
